How to make taco soup

Season chicken with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Be sure to place season side down on baking sheet ( use tongs to move chicken)

Season top side of chicken with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes

Place chicken in oven and cook until cooked all the way through (about 20 minutes)

Wash cilantro in sink

Wash plum tomatoes in sink

Wash lime in sink

Carefully using cutting board finely chop cilantro

Cut top and bottom off onion

Peel off top layer of onion

Carefully using cutting board, knife, and cutting guide cut the onion into slices

Place grape tomatoes on chopper and quickly press the handle down to dice the tomatoes

Peel garlic cloves

Place pot on burner

Add olive oil to pot

Add onions to cooking pot

Using garlic press over the pot press garlic cloves into pot

Cook while stirring for 5 minutes or until onions are clear

Add chili powder to pot

Add oregano to pot

Add cumin to pot

Stir seasonings into onions

Cook for 1 minute

Add broth to pot

Use a can opener to open chiles

Add chiles to pot

Add corn to pot

Add tomatoes to pot

Add salt to pot

Reduce burner to low heat and simmer for 20 minutes

Add chicken to pot

Simmer for 10 minutes

Add the chopped cilantro to pot

Stir soup

Carefully using cutting board and knife cut the avocado in half

Using butter knife cut lines into the flesh of the avocado

Use a spoon to separate the avocado skin from the flesh

Carefully using cutting board and knife cut the lime into wedges

Serve soup in bowl add lime wedge and avocado slices

Set table with bowls, spoons, napkins, and cups
